Dear Columbia Men’s Lacrosse alumni and friends,

Thank you again for your support of our team!  On an evening devoted to March Madness Make It 8 is proud to announce a bracket of its own!  The First Annual Ivy Club Lacrosse Championship presented by Make It 8 will be contested next month among seven Ivy schools. Cornell has given its regrets this year due to inability to escape snow-bound Ithaca for games. First-round contests will be played no later than Sunday, April 9 at Ivy campus sites.  Semifinals will be played by Sunday, April 23 and a final will be contested on the weekend of April 29-30.  The winner will get their team name engraved in a trophy commissioned by Make It 8, a cup to which we plan to add a name every year indefinitely!

Your Lions will take on Yale in the first round with the winner advancing to meet Penn or Princeton.  This is the first organized event involving any Ivy teams since 2016 and the first in which Columbia has participated since 2006, when the Lions finished runner-up to the host Tigers in a six-team event in New Jersey. Photos and video from the tournament games will be posted on our Instagram account: www.instagram.com/makeit8lax. 

Make It 8 is proud to promote competition among Ivy lacrosse programs, varsity or club, and sees this tournament as an essential step in the advancement of Columbia Men's Lacrosse.  We remain committed to making another tournament, one broadcast on ESPN the first weekend of May, an event hosted by a home team in New York City.
